The Thai-German Institute (TGI) is a joint initiative of the Government of the Kingdom of Thailand and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany, with the aim to be an effective training centre for transferring advanced manufacturing technology to the Thai industry, under the supervision of the Ministry of Industry. In accordance with the government\u2019s Thailand 4.0 strategy, TGI takes on an important role of upgrading target industry productivity by enhancing technology, innovation, and human resources in the robotics and automation industry to be capable and competitive in the Industry 4.0 era.<\/span><\/p>\n

Department of Industrial Promotion, Ministry of Industry, was the first organization in Thailand that launched the business incubation project, in 2002. From then on, other government agencies have continued the work\u2014 the Office of the Higher Education Commission (OHEC) has supported the university network by establishing a large number of incubator centers around Thailand to encourage students, professors, and researchers to become new entrepreneurs. The Office of Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion (OSMEP) also supports both universities and the private sector to establish more new entrepreneurs. And lastly, the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) has established a techno-business incubator located within Thailand Science Park and Software Park Thailand.\u00a0 Furthermore, NSTDA has been assisting and mentoring many Science Parks in the Northeast and South of Thailand in order to establish and develop strong collaboration with the private sector in the region.<\/span><\/p>\n
