Professional Bio: Dr. Angus Chang
Dr. Angus Chang holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and the title of Assistant Professor. He is a distinguished expert in plastic injection molding technology and Moldex3D analysis. His tenure in Thailand began in late 2013, following a prestigious invitation from the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) to spearhead the development of advanced injection molding technologies for local enterprises.
Dr. Chang previously served as a technology transfer consultant for numerous international corporations across Scotland, Spain, the United States, Norway, and Taiwan. A prolific inventor, he holds over 20 patents and was honored with Taiwan’s National Invention and Creation Award (Silver Medal) in 2012 for his pioneering work on mold heating and cooling structures.
Most notably, Dr. Chang is one of only three experts worldwide to hold the prestigious Moldex3D Master Certification. This elite credential underscores his world-class proficiency in digital simulation and scientific molding. By bridging high-level research with decades of global consultation, he specializes in diagnosing complex part defects and optimizing design parameters to significantly enhance productivity and yield rates for manufacturers globally.
At Minnotec, there is a team of experts with strong connections from Taiwan & Thailand.
In Taiwan, we work closely with research centers, universities, and government development centers (i.e ITRI, IDB).
In Thailand, we work closely with government development centers like Thailand Science Park National Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC), and the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA). We also have connections with Industry organizations and universities such as the Thai-German Institute, the Thai Machinery Association, the Thai Tool and Die Industry Association, King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok and many more.
